For the third year in a row, I’m about to embark on the 4x4x48 challenge: running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours! The first run is scheduled for 7pm ET on Friday, April 14th, with the last run (if all goes to plan) happening at 3pm ET on Sunday, April 16th.
Similar to the past two years, I’ll be dedicating a weekend to running the streets of NYC, at all hours of the day and night, with the hope of raising funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
When my friends and I (The Aces) started a fantasy football league in 2021, we decided to not only dedicate time to needless research on running backs and punt returners, but also dedicate time, energy, and money to this charity. Our impact has slowly grown ever since, raising over $11,000 last year as a team.
I’m ready to burn some calories, ruin my sleep cycle, and exhaust my legs to kick-start the 2023-24 fundraising season and support sick kids in need. I’ve seen the amazing work done by this foundation, and waking up in the middle of the night to run a few miles is nothing if it means providing a few extra dollars so the hospital can continue to care for those kids.
If you have the means, please consider donating. Every penny counts and goes a long way to making a big difference. If you’re not already, follow me on Instagram (@mikearnoldmath) to witness the suffering all throughout the weekend.
Thanks as always for your support!
Mike
